Turks & Caicos

Just to the east of the Bahamas lies the Turks and Caicos, islands that feature many of the same qualities as their Bahamian neighbors, all enjoyed at a relaxed, quiet pace. From the main island of Providenciales (known to travelers as simply "Provo") to the tiny getaway of Salt Cay, you'll find beautiful beaches, excellent snorkeling and scuba diving, and miles of lazy beaches in these isles.

These islands are perfect for travelers looking for seclusion, quiet, and some underwater fun. The Turks and Caicos (pronounced kay-cos), an archipelago of nearly 40 islands, offer over 200 miles of pristine beaches, a coral reef system spanning over 65 miles, and quiet relaxation.

Most travelers arrive in Providenciales, better known as Provo, the island that is home to most residents and most hotel properties--none over three stories tall by law. Recently these islands have seen the addition of several very high-end luxury hotels that pamper to the rich and famous.
